Book Week

Monday the 24th of August kicked off the 2026 Book Week with a costume parade.

Students came to school dressed as characters from their favourite books to celebrate the joy and magic of reading. The costume parade was visited by characters such as Alice from Lewis Carrol’s Alice in Wonderland, Thing 1 and Thing 2 from Doctor Suess’ The Cat in the Hat, and a rainbow of Crayons from Drew Daywalt’s The Day the Crayons Quit. 

Prizes were awarded to the first and second place costumes:

• Foundation: Kaaveri and Elvin
• Year 1: Luca and Yati
• Year 2: Axl and Harry
• Year 3: Billy and Poppy 
• Year 4: Cruz and Adem 
• Year 5: Nathaniel and Archie 
• Year 6: Charlie and Andre 

Classes also decorated their classroom doors.
