What's happening in specialist subjects?
PE
We've had Kelly Sports here recently teaching us how to throw frisbee. Sadly the weather hasn't been much good for us but we've now got a set of frisbees and are looking at setting up some Frisbee Golf.
Art
The students have been learning about the elements of design and this week we focussed on form; creating a 3D illusion. Here are the 'planets and universe' from the 1/2/3 class, using dry pastels, and techniques of blending colours to create shadows and highlights.
French Term 3
Les insectes (Insects) - F1 students will learn to name, count and describe insects in French through songs, stories and games.
La vie d’un haricot (Life of a bean) - 1-2-3 will be learning Science in French with a study of the life cycle of a bean. We will learn to name the different stages and parts of a bean plant and make observations as we plant seeds under different conditions and watch how they grow.
La chimie (Chemistry) - 4-5-6 will be learning Science in French, conducting experiments to explore density and the states of matter
