Congratulations to our incredible students for representing RNPS at the Victorian State School Spectacular last Saturday. Six months of rehearsals, three 10+ hour days in the city and two wonderful performances to thousands of audience members at John Cain Arena!

Here is what a few of our dancers and singers had to say about the experience:

My favourite part of being a mass dancer was learning new dance moves that I've never thought about before and also meeting so many new and friendly people throughout this time and making some new friends along the way.

Victorian state schools spectacular THIS IS ME

My name is Shiv and I loved being apart of the Mass Choir in this year’s state schools spectacular because it was really fun and I made lots of new friends. My favourite song was ‘Walk the dinosaur’ because it was enjoyable and a fun song. I would definitely recommend being apart of the Victorian state schools spectacular next time you have a chance becuase it was truely spectacular!

I'm Amelia and I joined state school’s spectacular because I love singing and dancing with my friends and the experience of a really good time! My favourite part of being in mass choir was hearing all the parts of the songs come together all as one because it was really magical, almost. During the show I was quite nervous at the start but I got into the groove and was flying through it. I think that if you have a chance to join state school’s spectacular in the future you definitely should. It’s an experience that you can never forget and the whole progress is awesome as it comes together!

My name is William and i joined the state school spectacular beacuse I love performing with my friends. my faveroute part of the experience was doing all the rehversals with all the main cast. my faveroute song is probably hip to be square as it was so much fun to dance to. I definitely recommend to do it. It was so much fun and a great experience for me.

My name is Isla and I got in the Victorian State Schools Spectacular Choir because I love to sing all the time. My favourite act or song in the show was El Dorado because it had a great melody and outstanding acrobatics. During the show, I felt happy, like I was in a humongous community which is tye best feeling. All my relatives,(plus others!!!) congratulated me and told me how great the performance was. I really hope I can do this once in a lifetime experience again!

On Monday 7th September, an AGC staff member will be visiting our school to hold an assessment workshop with interested students. The workshop will start at 3pm and will run for approximately 30 minutes, and is inclusive and fun. It is non-competitive and is designed to give students an idea of what to expect in an AGC class – a combination of singing and movement activities. Following their visit, they will post a personalised report and further information about 2027 classes to parents.

Register for the free workshop HERE.
