Parent & Community Engagement

At Ringwood North PS, we are under no illusions that one of our school's great strengths is the community.

Each year we look at how we can provide families with better opportunities to stay informed and get involved and seek feedback on how your child's school experience has been.

With this in mind, we have a few important requests for families and community members.

Annual Parent/Carer Opinion Survey

Every year, the Department of Education seeks feedback from families about schools. This information can be used to measure how effectively schools are supporting students. It is important that we get a cross-section of families contributing to this, so that we have a balanced perspective. I encourage all families to consider submitting a response.

Renewing our School Vision

After a successful community engagement process to update our school values 2 years ago, we are now venturing on the next update: our School Vision Statement.

We wish to collaborate with all community members on developing a shared vision statement that is reflective of the broader community’s values and vision for our students’ education.

Our current school vision has served the school community well for over 30 years but has felt a little unclear or aged for a while now.

In the coming weeks and months, we will be inviting families to participate in a range of activities that help you influence the future vision for the school and our students.

You may see some senior students in the yard at the start and end of the day asking questions to families: please get involved and give a quick response.

We are also holding workshops with students to gain their input, as well as family workshops.

We will also have a community component at the Family Festival to get some feedback on some of the suggestions being put forward.

Keep your eye out for these opportunities over September, October and November.

We aim to have a brand new vision statement in place by the end of the year and visible around the school and in updated communications at the start of next year.

Your input to this project will help shape the priorities and direction of the school into the future.
