This was my last OLPS Athletics day where I competed in many sports such as shotput, long jump, high jump and discus. I really enjoyed the athletics day, one of my favourite parts about the the day was when we had the novelty race where we had a massive water fight after the race. Congratulations to the winners of sprints and marathons and those who tried their best (Manraj).
This was the most fun athletics day for the Year 6’s because we got squirted with water and it became a water fight against the teachers. My favourite part of the day was doing kaboom because it had lots of fun activities such as soccer, teamwork activities, mini hoops and hula hoops. Congratulations to the winners who participated in the sprints and a big thank you to the parent helpers who helped in the other sports such as, discuss, shotput, high jump and long jump (Carys).
Athletics Day was enjoyed by everyone. A day like this couldn’t happen without the effort of Mr Whitty, Mr Baldwinson and all of the teachers, staff and parent helpers. A big thanks to our Principal Mrs Mancuso for allowing these amazing days to happen. It was a great day!
At the start of the term we interviewed a couple of students to tell us about what they did on the school holidays.

Hi, my name is Leo from 5A
On the first few days I stayed at home, then the next day I went to Adelaide where I went to watch many footy matches such as Richmond and GWS ( Greater Western Sydney). I also went bike riding with my friends where we stopped at a donut shop to get donuts. When I returned from Adelaide I saw lots of animals and a giant rocking horse. Then I went to a pinball centre. Finally, as soon as we returned home I went to see my favourite pet, my dog.

Hi, my name is Jacob from 6B
On the school holidays I went to the cinemas with my brother and sister to watch the super Mario Bros Galaxy movie. While I watched the movie I got to buy popcorn and Pepsi. It was a fantastic movie, so I recommend that you watch it yourself. I also went to flipout which had lots of cool things such as rock climbing, trampolines and Go-carts. My favourite part of flip out was the Go-carts because it was like riding a bike which was super fast.
The Drawing Competition is back! We are excited to invite all students to take part! Entries will be due in Term 2, Week 4, and the competition is open to everyone who would like to showcase their creativity.
Students will have the opportunity to use their talents, giving them plenty of time to get inspired, experiment with ideas, and produce their best work. We encourage all participants to use this time to be imaginative and creative.
There will be prizes awarded for both Junior and Senior winners, so all age groups have a chance to shine.
We look forward to seeing your amazing creations and hope you have lots of fun expressing your artistic talents! 🎨
