Quest Retreat Preparation
On Tuesday, 11 February our Year 12 Cadre demonstrated their enthusiasm for TC by presenting what it means to be a Man for Others. They met the Year 8 cohort in the Trinity Sports Centre and presented their experiences of various Christian Service opportunities – Red Cross Soup Patrol, Kimberley Immersion, Christian Service Placement, Senior Project, and Eddie Rice Camps for Kids.
The Cadre were inspirational leaders and speakers, and the Year 8 students were fully engaged in the incredible opportunities available to them. Thank you to Mr Le Tessier for all his efforts in putting this session together.
Peer Minister Training Day #3
The Peer Ministers Training Day #3 ran on Wednesday, 12 February. Mr Le Tessier and Mr Byrne accompanied 65 x Year 11 Peer Ministers to Mercedes College to prepare the friendship talks with our Mercedes ladies in preparation for the upcoming Year 8 Quest Retreat next Friday.
Meanwhile, the Year 12 Cadre, with Mrs West were preparing for the Retreat back at TC, dressed in costumes and filming their script. These young men were hilarious to watch as their enthusiasm was contagious.
Year 8 Quest Retreat
Friday, 21 February
A friendly reminder to ensure that you and your Year 8 son have dropped off door hangers in your street, and then returned to collect all donated cans. Please don’t knock on any doors. If there are no cans by their doorstep/veranda, simply move to the next house.
This activity helps your son understand the importance of helping others in need, and he is also teaching his neighbours how easy it is to help others less fortunate than we are.
Parents, please place all collected cans in your boot and these will be collected from you on the evening of the Retreat. You will have Year 10 Roadies collecting the cans from your car, you will then park and wait for your son to be released safely to you.
Friday Community Mass
Our Friday 8:00am Community Mass re-commenced this week. A big thank you to Ms Hunter’s 12.2 PCG, Ms Garland’s 8.2 PCG, and especially our readers. It is lovely seeing all our Altar Servers, Extroaordinary Ministers and regulars attending. Fra Oscar, thank you as always for a meaningful Homily and Eucharistic celebration.
