On Wednesday 10th June, students represented St Mary's at the Colac Divisional Soccer competition held at Central Reserve.

Our Girls team performed strongly throughout the day, finishing with three wins, one draw and one loss. The girls displayed excellent teamwork, skill and determination in all matches and represented St Mary's with pride.

The Boys White team also enjoyed a successful tournament, recording two wins and one loss in pool play. Their victories came with impressive 3–0 and 1–0 scorelines, with their only defeat being a 3–0 loss to Colac Primary School.

The Boys Blue team had an outstanding day, winning all four of their pool matches to progress through to the semi-final. They faced Colac Primary School, who would eventually finish runners-up to Sacred Heart. After conceding two early goals, the boys showed great resilience and determination to fight their way back into the contest.

Hudson scored a superb penalty goal early in the second half, and the team dominated much of the play in their forward half. Despite creating several scoring opportunities, they were unable to find an equaliser, eventually going down 2–1. The boys should be extremely proud of their efforts, sportsmanship and the way they represented the school throughout the day.

Congratulations to all students who participated and represented our school so positively.

Last Friday, we had over 50 students proudly represent St Mary’s at School Football and Netball. It was fantastic to see everyone trying their hardest, supporting one another and displaying great sportsmanship throughout the day.

Congratulations to our Division 1 netball team, who won the grand final 15–13 in a thrilling match. The team will now progress through to the regional competition in Ballarat on 19th June.

A special well done also to St Mary’s Green in the football, who finished runners-up to Sacred Heart after an outstanding day of competition.

We are incredibly proud of the way all students represented St Mary’s.
