Workshops

Girls Programming Network at UWA

This coming weekend marks the first Girls’ Programming Network for 2025.  In this workshop, attendees will be making a Secret Diary Chatbot. We will teach the computer to help us write and read from a diary and protect it with a password and other fun tricks!

The events are free, and students don’t need to have any programming experience to come along; we’ve got something for high school girls of all levels. We’ll cover the basics if you’re new to Python and show you some extra cool stuff if you’re already a programming pro!

Lunch and snacks will be provided for students.

The event is BYOD (bring your own device), so bring your laptop with you! They will have some laptops available for students who can't bring one.

Here are the details of the GPN Perth Term 1 Workshop:

Date: 15 March

Time: 10am - 4pm (registration from 9.30am)

Grid connection engineers play a critical role in ensuring renewable projects integrate with the electricity network, but they’re in short supply and require specialist knowledge.

The Grid Connection Engineer Graduate Program aims to address these challenges by recruiting top electrical engineering graduates and fast-tracking their experience across the industry.
