Keep up to date as we bring Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to the stage in 2026!
That’s a wrap on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! After months of rehearsals, followed by three wonderful shows, plus a schools show to a sold-out audience of primary school students, our journey of Willy Wonka and Charlie Bucket has come to an end.
Our amazing Executive Producer and Director, Vicki Thomas, has shared the following message:
“What a ride! Twelve months ago I made the decision to leave a job a loved to ‘scratch an itch’ to produce and direct a production for St Brigid's College. Fast forward to the week that’s been, and to say I am proud just doesn’t seem enough.
To the most wonderful cast - you created characters beyond my imagination and embraced the experience completely. You lifted every single show and finished with a brilliant performance! To the crew - you adapted, united and worked so efficiently to help make everything look like it was running smoothly (even if at times it wasn’t!).
To the amazing supportive parents and families - your support meant so much to me personally, as well as to our school. To hear many of you say how rewarding it was to be involved in an event like this for your children was heartwarming.
To the fantastic staff of St B’s - your creativity, support and commitment to ‘Charlie’ helped to make the production a truly school-wide program. Thanks also to the wonderful colleagues who kept things ticking at school during the busy times To the students who contributed to sets and props - thank you and I hope you enjoyed seeing your creations on stage.
To the HTH crew, Ben Plunkett, Tom Miatke and Mathew Dooling, and our amazing sponsors - a massive thank you for your talents and contributions.
To everyone who came to support our students by seeing the show - you were wonderful!!! What an atmosphere you created!!
Lastly, to the incredibly supportive and talented Malory Ryan and Maddi Ostapiw - a huge, heartfelt thank you for your guidance and support along the way.
Congratulations kids - you were amazing and I hope this experience has created the most wonderful memories that will stay with you forever.”
Thank you to Mathew Dooling at Exposure of Light photography for capturing these moments!
