From the Classroom

Prep C has had a very busy term filled with many exciting events! These experiences are linked closely to our English task, where students are learning to retell an event and include details about the people involved, what happened, and their thoughts and feelings.

We have been practising these skills by retelling our recent excursion to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary and our 100 Days of Prep celebration.

When speaking, students are working on using an appropriate volume, staying on topic, speaking confidently, including interesting vocabulary and organising their ideas with connectives such as first, next, then and finally.

Families can support this learning at home by encouraging children to practise retelling these events confidently to others. We are very proud of the confidence and enthusiasm Prep C students are showing as they share their experiences!
