Our Wonderful Volunteers

Time and again, we’re reminded of how wonderful our community is. It has been so pleasing to see our CHPS volunteers in action over recent weeks. From parents reading with students in classrooms, volunteering at athletics and Wakakirri, to CHAPs running a fantastic Father’s Day Stall and creating wonderful experiences for our families, the contribution of our parent community has been outstanding.

Fun one: Yesterday, we recorded our highest window sales of the year at the canteen! There may be a couple of dads who are a little light on with their presents this year! 🤣

We have also been overwhelmed by the number of parents volunteering for our October camps. The response has been fantastic — although it has made choosing the lucky volunteers a very difficult task!

A huge thank you to everyone who continues to give their time to support our students and our school. We are incredibly fortunate to have you.

R U OK? Day 💛

Next Thursday, 10 September, we will recognise R U OK? Day with a touch of yellow!

Students are invited to add something yellow to their school uniform as we come together to remind ourselves of the importance of checking in with the people around us. R U OK? Day encourages us to notice when someone might not be themselves, start a conversation, listen and let others know they are not alone.

While R U OK? Day gives us a special opportunity to focus on connection and wellbeing, the message is an important one every day — ask R U OK? Any Day. 💛

A simple conversation can make a real difference.
