MVIMP Soiree

On Thursday 26th of June, MPW held its annual MVIMP Soiree in the Performance Space with MVIMP students performing for their families. The MVIMP Soirees are held at each of the four MVIMP schools and are the opportunity for MVIMP students to perform in a more intimate setting, showcasing their musical learnings.   On Thursday,  13th November MVIMP students will perform at the Combined MVIMP Concert at the Clocktower, Moonee Ponds. There will be a matinee at 12:30pm and an evening performance at 7:00pm. More information will be communicated during Term 4.

MVIMP Music Camp

Last week our nominated senior MVIMP students attended the Moonee Vale Instrumental Music Program (MVIMP) Camp at Urban Camp Parkville with students from the other MVIMP schools: Ascot Vale, Ascot Vale West and Moonee Ponds Primary.

The campis an opportunity for intensive instrumental lessons with the their MVIMP music tutors and a combined music performance on the Thursday evening for the students’ families.  It was wonderful to see the performances of the instrumental groups and combined band.  Please see below photos from the evening.

 

Term 3 Enrolments Now open

Enrolments are now available to start the MVIMP program in Term 3.

Students in Year 2 and above are invited to join the MVIMP Instrumental Music Program. Students are taught in small groups and have the opportunity to participate in shared workshops, camps, concerts, ensembles or the combined MVIMP band.

 

Instruments offered are:

  • Acoustic Guitar
  • Bass Guitar
  • Cello
  • Clarinet
  • Euphonium
  • Flute
  • French Horn
  • Percussion
  • Saxophone
  • Trombone
  • Trumpet
  • Viola
  • Violin
