Scott Boland
Scott Boland is an Australian international cricketer who plays domestically for Victoria and the Melbourne Stars. Known as a right-arm fast-medium bowler, he has become a fan favourite, particularly after his memorable Test debut in 2021. Boland is a proud Gulidjan man. Scott and his brother learned about their Indigenous roots after their grandfather, who was from the Colac area, passed away.
Career Highlights
On his Test debut during the Ashes Boxing Day Test in 2021, Boland famously took 6 wickets for just 7 runs in England's second innings to seal victory for Australia.
He became the 10th Australian and first Indigenous Test cricketer to take a hat trick in Test cricket in a match against the West Indies in July 2025.
Boland was named the Sheffield Shield Player of the Year by Cricket Australia in 2019.

FIRE Carrier Program – 2026
In 2026, the FIRE Carrier program at OLA will see some exciting changes. From next year, the program will be led by our Grade 5 student leaders. This adjustment allows our Grade 6 leaders to focus on other leadership opportunities, while also providing Grade 5 students with the chance to showcase their leadership skills.
Grade 4 students have been invited to apply for these positions today and FIRE Carriers will be chosen through a voting process, with results based on 50% student votes and 50% staff votes. Voters will be asked to nominate four candidates, in preference order, who they believe will be suitable FIRE Carriers for OLA. We look forward to beginning the application process and working with the 2026 FIRE Carriers.
