Grandparents Day

On Friday 25th October Grandparents were invited to THS to enjoy lunch & activities with their grandkids. Well done & thank you to the leaders & SRC, Mrs Koch, Mrs Cooper & everyone who helped make it such a special day. We loved seeing so many Grandparents enjoying their time playing trivia & bingo, congratulations to the winners.

Girls on Fire

Our Yr 9 & 10 girls participated in the fire-up girls Fire & Resilience program on 22nd October. The program definitely put a spark into our students, who knew how amazing they could be at all the activities! It’s not every day that you run the hose from a fire truck, understand what it’s like to work with a team in a building with zero visibility, rely on teammates to solve physical challenges, or learn how to put out fires with all kinds of equipment. What a fantastic program to be involved in, thank you to Girls on Fire, the volunteers, Steven Roos for supplying the transport, our THS girls who gave it their all & Mrs Koch & Ms Phillips.

Crazy Sock Day

Thank you to all those who supported the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Crazy Sock Day at THS on 21st October. Well done to the SRC for supplying all those homemade treats, a great cause & a fun day!

Halloween Dress Up

Well done to Year 11 for their Halloween fundraiser. It was great to see so many students & staff dress up & also support the spooky bake sale! Judging for the best dressed was difficult as the quality & creativeness of the outfits was fantastic. Congratulations to the winners, we look forward to doing it all again next year!

High Performance & Potential Invitational

On 18th October, THS hosted selected students from St Joseph's Primary & Sir Henry Parkes for a taster of our High Performance and Potential program. Students undertook Biology, Physics & Engineering activities. Thank you to our program participants, Mrs Parker & THS students who assisted to make this special event a great success.

RFS Cadet Program

The term 4 RFS Cadet program started on Wednesday during sport. Wayne and Trevor presented a lovely book “Fighting Spirit” to our library. The book is a photographic tribute to the courage and resilience of bushfire-affected communities and their journeys to recovery. Thank you RFS for your continued support of THS!

Rotary Youth Camp

Congratulation to Tilly Spittles who was the guest speaker at the Tenterfield Rotary meeting. In May Tilly was sponsored by the club to attend a youth camp. Tilly spoke extremely well and enthusiastically about the camp and what she gained from attending. Well done Tilly!

Well done to Ms Olive, students & helpers for the THS Pop-Up Gallery. Thank you to the Angry Bulls Trails for allowing us to utilise their space to display paintings, woodwork, crafts, photos & jewellery. We appreciate everyone who attended opening night on 31st October or visited on 1st November.
