It has been another productive week at the College, with students actively involved in a wide range of learning areas.
On Wednesday, I attended the Secondary Network Meeting in Margaret River, where the Deputy Director General, Director of Education - South West, and the President of WASSEA were in attendance. This was a valuable opportunity to engage in discussions around regional priorities, student support, and system initiatives that continue to shape the work we do in agricultural education.
On campus, the week has been full of activity. I visited the shearing shed yesterday and saw students working in hot conditions as they carried out their shearing tasks. I then headed across to the Beef section, where I observed students completing pre‑calving vaccinations.
This week also saw our Year 10–12 cohorts completing a round of OLNA. Thank you to everyone involved for ensuring everything ran smoothly.
Looking ahead, we are preparing for Wagin Woolorama this weekend. This event is always a highlight for our students, offering opportunities to compete, showcase their skills, and connect with industry. I am sure our staff and students attending will represent the College proudly.
As always, I continue to be impressed by the enthusiasm and work ethic our students bring to every part of their learning. Thank you to all staff for your ongoing support across such a diverse and busy program.
Thank you to the Year 10 parents who sent through their nominations for the College Board. A link to vote for a parent representative will be sent out shortly.
