Grade 4

This term our Grade 4 students have been busy with some wonderful learning. In Literacy, we have just finished reading Kensuke’s Kingdom and students enjoyed exploring the themes, characters and adventure within the novel. They also worked hard on developing their persuasive writing, learning how to clearly express opinions and support their ideas with strong reasons.

In Mathematics, we are wrapping up our fractions unit, where students practised identifying, comparing and representing fractions. Our current focus is time, as students learn to read, calculate and solve problems involving time.

Students have also continued developing their Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) skills, building positive relationships, resilience and strategies for working together respectfully in the classroom.
