2026 Australian National Band Championships

We send our best wishes to the 45 students and staff travelling to Brisbane over the Easter break to compete in the Australian National Band Championships. We hope they have an amazing time!

This is biggest community music competition in Australia, being held over 4 days, at the Brisbane City Hall. VUSC students are competing as follows:

Honours Band - Junior Concert Band Section, 9am Friday 3rd April (Good Friday)

Instrumental Music Lessons, Payments Due

Billing and Compass Consent for 2026 Music Lessons were published on Compass in Term 1. Lessons normally cost $930 per student, however those students who are active members of either the Concert Band Program or a Cocurricular school ensemble are subsidised to $250 for the year. This will also cover all Compass consent for the performances and competitions throughout the year (excluding Music Camp). CSEF may be used to cover music lessons and/or the Music Camp for eligible students.

Tuesday 16th - Wednesday 17th June (Year 7 Concert Band, College Choir and Jazz Band)

Wednesday 17th – Thursday 18th June (Year 8 Concert Band and Year 9 Concert Band)

Thursday 18th - Friday 19th June (Big Band, Stage Band, College Guitar Ensemble)

Junior Soiree
