Lalor East PS vs. Meadowglen Primary - Round 1 

The summer sports season kicked off with a strong start as Lalor East PS faced Meadowglen Primary in Round 1 on February 21. Our teams put in a fantastic effort across all sports, with some close contests and impressive victories.

Rounders

  • Boys: A thrilling match ended in a 6-6 draw, with both teams showing strong batting and fielding performances.

  • Girls: A hard-fought game saw our girls come out on top with a 5-3 win, showcasing great teamwork and determination.

Cricket

Unfortunately, the match ended in a tie due to a traffic incident, leaving both teams eager for another chance to compete.

Hot Shots Tennis

  • Boys: A dominant performance led to a 25-12 victory, with excellent rallies and strong serving on display.

  • Girls: Another commanding win, with our girls securing a 21-5 victory, proving their skill and teamwork on the court.

Lalor East PS had a fantastic second round of inter-school sports against St Clare’s, bringing home wins in both rounders and bat tennis, while the cricket team put up a strong fight in a tough match. Here’s how the teams performed:

Rounders

  • Girls: A great team effort led to a 7-5 win over St Clare’s.

  • Boys: The boys played with determination, securing a 10-7 victory.

Bat Tennis

  • Boys: A dominant performance resulted in a 26-12 win.

  • Girls: The girls showed impressive skill, claiming a 35-12 victory.

Cricket

  • Despite a strong effort, the team fell short with a 48-64 loss.
