Inquiry

This term, our Inquiry topic will focus on animals, exploring their unique features, habitats and basic needs. Our essential question is, “What do animals need to survive?”

Students will participate in a range of exciting learning experiences and investigations, allowing them to research different animals, explore their habitats, describe their physical characteristics and identify what they need to survive. Their learning will be further enriched through an excursion to Melbourne Zoo, where they will observe a variety of animals and investigate how their enclosures meet their needs and support their survival. Further details regarding the excursion will be shared via Compass soon.

Our Show and Share sessions will also link to our Inquiry topic, providing students with the opportunity to share their knowledge and discoveries about animals with their classmates. Information about the presentation requirements will be posted on Compass shortly.
