Child Safety
The Victorian Child Safe Standards make it clear that schools have a responsibility to keep children safe from harm, threats, intimidation and abuse while at school.
I would like to remind all parents that if you have a concern about the actions or behaviour of another student, please bring the matter directly to the school's attention. It is not appropriate to approach or speak to another child yourself, whether in the school yard or elsewhere around the school grounds.
Being approached by an unfamiliar adult can be intimidating and distressing for a child, and may leave them feeling unsafe at school. The school has processes in place to investigate concerns, support the students involved and work with families to resolve issues appropriately.
Thank you for your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and supportive environment for all students.
Driving and Parking Safely and Respectfully
It is common sense and courtesy to drive and park respectfully in and around the school.
Everyone understands that before and after school parking and driving is chaotic. So please be patient, careful, respectful and follow the rules of the road. Nobody wants an accident and we all want to have our children arrive and leave school safely.
2027 School Captains
It is with the greatest pleasure that I can announce that our 2027 School Capatains and Vice Captains are:
Captains
Nia Patel Ashan Malalasekera
Vice Captains
Jessica Timms Max Filippa
Congatulations to these students, and to all the other candidates that also prepared and delivered excellent speeches.

Foundation - Outdoor Ed. night
It was a joy to attend our Foundation PJ Party last night and see the excitement on the faces of our youngest students. I was incredibly proud of the way our Foundation children conducted themselves throughout the evening. Their wonderful behaviour, excellent manners and enthusiasm made the event a delight for everyone involved.
A highlight of the night was the performance by Fairy Twinkletoes, whose blend of magic and comedy had students (and staff!) laughing out loud from beginning to end. Fairy Twinkletoes has been entertaining at the JPPS Foundation PJ Party for an amazing 11 years, and once again she created a truly memorable experience for our children.
The PJ Party is an important part of our Outdoor Education program and marks the beginning of a series of experiences designed to build students' resilience, confidence and independence. These foundational experiences help prepare our students for the increasing challenges and opportunities of overnight camps and outdoor learning programs in the senior years.
Thank you to Jared, Denise and the Foundation teachers for organising the event and helping make the evening such a success. I look forward to seeing our Foundation students continue to grow in confidence as they progress through their Outdoor Education journey at JPPS.
Sunsmart
Term 4 is a SunSmart term, a reminder that hats will be required for all outdoor play and learning activities in line with our SunSmart policy. So please ensure your child has a school approved, broad brim or legionnaires blue hat to wear.
Have a wonderful weekend!
