Dare to Dream JR

What an incredible week, as we build toward Thursday and Friday evening’s performances of Dare to Dream JR. It's been a busy, energetic few days for cast, staff, and parent volunteers. Sets are complete, dress rehearsals have been held, and we are ready to take to the stage for our two evening performances.

To our Junior School actors and actresses taking to the stage tonight and Friday, this process has been much more than singing, dancing, remembering lines and wearing bright ‘Dare to Dream’ costumes. It is about having the courage to try something new, stepping outside your comfort zone and discovering what you can achieve when you work together. Over the past nine months, you have practised, persevered, made mistakes, laughed, learned, and supported one another. You have discovered that putting on a musical is about teamwork, patience, resilience, and a great deal of hard work.

Be brave, be kind, trust yourselves and enjoy every moment. Don't spend time worrying about getting everything - focus on enjoying what you are doing. If you miss a step, keep dancing. If you forget a word, keep smiling. If something unexpected happens, remember that the audience is cheering for you, not judging you. Most importantly, remember that success isn't just about the applause at the end. It is about the courage it took to step onto the stage in the first place and the memories you have created together. Now go out there, have fun and dare to dream!
