As Year 12s finish their final full year of schooling, the College is full of celebration. Our Year 12s have given so much to our school, and we are especially proud of how they have approached this year. They faced real difficulties along the way and showed resilience and support for one another.
The celebrations began on Tuesday lunchtime. Year 12 students shared a lunch and activities with their Year 7 buddies. It was a lovely way to start, and a reminder of the friendships that form across year levels at College. Our Year 7s will miss their Year 12 buddies, who have been such good role models.
The celebrations continue from Monday 19 to Wednesday 21 October.
Monday 19 October:
Year 12s will be guests at the Old Collegian luncheon in the Tim Murray Room.
In the afternoon, 15 Year 12s who began their College journey at the Junior Campus will attend the Myrniong Assembly.
Tuesday 20 October:
Year 12s work together to lead their final assembly. We are looking forward to their reflection on 13 years of schooling.
Our Year 12 boarders finish the day with their Boarding House dinner. Always such a special evening to celebrate the contributions of our boarders.
Students are also writing kindness notes to give to their Mentors. Notes like this show how much this community means to the students and to the staff who have supported them.
Wednesday 21 October is the highlight of the week.
The day begins witha dress up breakfast and a fashion parade, followed by House meetings.
Students then change back into their full school uniform for Speech Day at 1:30 pm.
Speech Day will no doubt be a very special occasion. It is a chance to recognise the achievements of the Class of 2026 and send them off with the whole school community involved.
The Year 12 celebrations finish with the Valedictory Dinner on Wednesday 18 November at 6:00 pm at the Uniting Church.
Congratulations to the Class of 2026. We look forward to celebrating with you.
