Principal's Report
Kaylene Kubeil
Week 2 of Term 2, and at the start of this week, it does feel like winter has finally set in with some very chilly mornings. Thank you to all our families who attended the conferences and met with our teachers to discuss how your child/ren's learning is tracking. We understand that many families may have had work or other commitments and were therefore unable to attend. Please remember that our teachers are always willing to discuss your child's learning and wellbeing. Feel free to schedule a meeting or email them if you need to.
Next week, we have two fieldwork days planned as we continue our school review.
We are asking if any parents or carers would like to contribute to a parent or caregiver focus group. If so, please ring the school to let us know. The Parent/Carer focus group will take place at 8.45am - 9.30 am on Tuesday, 6th May. This session will take place in the Senior Library. We would absolutely love to hear your thoughts about the school and what our next strategic direction should be.
We will be holding our Mother's Day Stall next Thursday, 8th May, and would like to thank all the parent helpers who have volunteered to help on the day. As per last year, all students have been added to the 2025 Mother's Day Stall Compass Event. If you would like your child to select a gift, please arrange payment via Compass by midnight tonight.
If your child has more than one special person for whom they need a gift, don't hesitate to contact the office, and they can process the additional payment.
In addition, we will be having a Mother's Day Breakfast - Muffins with Mum.
Breakfast will be served from 8:00 am in the school gymnasium.
We have several pre-service teachers who are or will be working at the school. This is part of our partnership with higher education providers to ensure that the teaching profession continues to grow for now and into the future. We warmly welcome them to our school; we may see some of them return in the years to come?
Please remember to check our 'What's on' at Whittlesea Primary School, which we try to keep up to date, so everyone is aware of our upcoming events.
Have a great weekend with family & friends.
Kind Regards
Kaylene
