Seymour College Year 10 student, Jayden Trodd, has commenced a School-Based Apprenticeship in Certificate III in Cabinet Making with Marshall Cabinets. Jayden completed some work placement at Marshall Cabinets recently and displayed an excellent work ethic. Jayden is combining his school studies with hands-on industry experience, working a couple of days each week with his employer while continuing his classes at Seymour College. 

Marshall Cabinets is a strong supporter of the school-based apprenticeship program, with a proven history of success by commencing students as school-based apprentices who then continue their apprenticeship full-time once they leave school. Jayden’s opportunity is another great example of how local employers and schools are working together to create real career pathways for students.
