We’ve had a fantastic flurry of Library Awards since our last newsletter article - what an amazing effort from our eager readers!
A huge congratulations to all the students who’ve earned an award and chosen a special book to keep - well done!
Don’t forget to bring your library bag on your library day. Each time you borrow for three weeks in a row, you’ll earn a ticket into our Library Awards Lucky Dip box. If your name is drawn, you’ll receive a Library Award certificate and get to pick a brand-new book from our special book collection set aside for this!

Author Incursion / Hat Day!!
Yes! The rumours are true - he’s coming back!!!
We’re absolutely thrilled to announce that author Adam Wallace has chosen our school to be one a very limited number of schools to launch his new book, ‘Hatman’.
Adam is returning on Thursday 20th November and will share his newest book ‘Hatman’ with students in Years 3,4,5 & 6.
To help celebrate the occasion we are having a ‘Hat Day’. Students will be encouraged to wear a hat that is special and meaningful to them – it could be their favourite hat, a hat that shows off their personality, a crazy hat, or just a plain old school hat!!
‘Hatman’ has been 14 years in the making and is a truly unique style of book being a chapter/ graphic novel/ action/ adventure/ superhero/ comedy & musical – all combined together into one book!!
In the lead up to this event, Adam has provided us with some copies of ‘Hatman’ which teachers will share with their classes. There will also be a copy of the book available at the office should any parents like to have a look at it.
We are providing opportunities to purchase signed copies of the book (they won’t be available in bookstores as Adam is an independent publisher). By following the QR code below, you will be directed to the special Bimbadeen order page where books can be pre-purchased online for delivery direct to school. With each order placed, Adam will also supply another one of his current books for FREEEEEEE!!!!!
In the coming weeks, teachers will share ‘Hatman’ during class and library times in the lead up to this event. Adam is so proud of his new work and is super excited to be visiting us again for lots more story writing ideas and drawing opportunities – and so are we!!
