Representative Pathways

Pathway Sport trials provide students with the opportunity to represent their school and compete at various levels. The 2026 Representative Pathway School Official Trials, held by SCS, will start to commence in Week 4, Term 1, for the sports listed below:

Softball (Boys & Girls)
Hockey (Boys & Girls)
Touch Football (Boys & Girls)
Rugby Union (Boys)
AFL (Girls)
Rugby League (Girls)

Only students currently in Year 5 and 6 are eligible.

Each school can only nominate a capped number of students for each trial. The process for selection is:

The student is to demonstrate a high level of skill development and talent in their chosen sport
The student is to have experience playing in regular competition outside of school
In the event of having more students than the allocated number to attend the trial, a school trial may be held to determine nominees. Please note only one school trial will be held.

Registrations close - Monday 9th February 2026.

If your child meets the above criteria and would like the opportunity to trial, please fill in the REGISTRATION FORM.

Swimming Conference 3 Meeting

A short meeting will be held on Friday 6th of February for the swimmers attending the Conference 3 swimming carnival. Students will be told information and will be given their swim caps.

Swimmers will compete on Monday the 9th of February, we wish them the best of luck!

Dance Ensemble

Solo Dance Eisteddfod

If your child wishes to enter a solo dance in the Sydney Catholic Schools Eisteddfod, please ensure they are registered by visiting the following website and

creating an account here.

Registrations close on Wednesday 18 February 2026 at 5:00pm

Solo Performance Dates:

The Solo Performance Schedule will be available EOD Monday 9 March 2026

Jazz	Tuesday 7th April
Lyrical Contemporary	Wednesday 8th April
Ballet, Dance for two, Folk	Thursday 9th April
Hip Hop, Tap	Friday 10th April

Location

All performances will be held at

Southern Cross Catholic College Burwood

17 Comer St, Burwood, NSW

Costume

Costuming is optional but must preserve the dignity of the performer - no midriffs or cut away tops. High cut costumes (cut out from the leg to the waist) are not acceptable and will receive point deductions.

Music

Performances must not exceed 3 minutes, and can not contain swearing or slurs.
