FAMILY PICNIC TUES 10th FEB - ICY POLES & JUICE BOXES AVAILABLE
Please bring along your gold coins! Icy poles and juice boxes will be on sale for $1 EFTPOS available.
SECOND HAND UNIFORM SALE
The first second hand uniform sale for the year will be held in the gym on Monday 23rd February from 2:30pm-3:30pm. Items will be priced from $5 (EFTPOS available).
Any clothing donations can be dropped at the school administration office before this time. Please ensure items are clean and remove/cross out any names/labels.
Pro Tip: When labelling your child's equipment (including hats, jumpers, bottles, lunch boxes) we recommend adding your child's name & the class they are in. This is the easiest way to ensure they are returned back if lost.
CLASS REPS
Calling for more Class Rep volunteers, please sign up this week.
Our Class Reps are a vital part of our school community, helping families to connect and share the load of all the extra things we need to remember. These roles are filled by volunteer parents/guardians, one per class (or it can be shared between two). This is not a time consuming role, just need to post reminders for year level updates (show and tell, class get togethers, teacher gifts) and field any questions parents have with the CEC rep to support you. See more details on the Class Reps Cheat Sheet in the link below or email any questions to banyuleps.cec@gmail.com

VOLUNTEERS
We are so lucky to have so many wonderful families in the BPS school community. Together, we are able to host events, activities and fundraisers that truly set this school apart as something special for our kids to grow within. If you don't have time to commit to anything long term, but always happy to put your hand up when you can please join the Worker Bees What's App group for forward notice on upcoming events and the opportunity to join in the fun: https://chat.whatsapp.com/Ht6Q36AtfCmEvuHvIrWh82
Also a huge thanks to all of the wonderful parents who have signed up for the Term 1 helper roster for lost property, lunch orders & Icy Poles. Think we made a record for the fastest time for all times to be filled, thank you, thank you!
SUSTAINABILITY UPDATE
Thank you for your support of Project Stationery (late last year)
Banyule PS was one of 20 schools who donated excess and lightly used items to Project Stationery, a Melbourne-based sustainability initiative to re-home unwanted stationery. A big thank you to Ms Klein and the 2025 Sustainability leaders for collecting and collating 4 boxes of supplies.
Over the summer, $35,000 worth of unwanted stationery was collated and donated to over 20 childcare centres, schools, neighbourhood houses and charities instead of ending up in landfill.
You can read more about the project’s impact via the link above.
