We were delighted to welcome mums and loved ones into our classroom to celebrate together. The morning began with a heartfelt song performed by the children, followed by a range of fun activities that everyone could enjoy side by side.

There was great excitement as nails were painted in bright colours, delicious biscuits were made and decorated, and families captured treasured memories together in our lively photo booth.

It was a wonderful opportunity for connection, laughter, and love, and we thank all our families for joining us to make the morning so special.

Year 5 Bandicoots & Dingoes

It has been a wonderful start to the term for our Year 5 Bandicoots and Dingoes. Students have settled back into learning beautifully and have shown great enthusiasm in English, particularly during our work on Action Narratives.

They have been exploring how authors build tension and excitement by carefully structuring their stories and using strong, descriptive language. Students have been practising skills such as showing a character’s feelings through their actions and reactions, using the setting to reflect emotions, and developing dialogue that moves the story forward. It has been a pleasure to see their confidence grow as their imaginative and dramatic stories come to life.

In Religious Education, students have been learning about the significance of the Eucharist and how it began as the Last Supper, when Jesus shared bread and wine with his disciples and asked them to remember him.

They have explored the different parts of the Mass and discussed how the actions of the Last Supper continue today through the celebration of the Eucharist. Students have also reflected on how receiving the Eucharist brings people together as a community and strengthens our relationship with God and with one another.
