AFTER-HOURS WORKSHOPS
Following a large delivery of trailer parts over the past few weeks, it has become clear that some students need to increase their progress to stay on track with their trailer builds.
While materials are now on hand, not all projects are at the stage we would expect at this point in the term.
Trades staff are encouraging all students to take greater ownership of their projects and make the most of the time available in the workshop. The complexity of these builds means that scheduled class time alone is not sufficient for successful completion.
As outlined in the project confirmation slip, students are expected to supplement their class time by attending after-hours workshop sessions. These additional opportunities are essential for maintaining momentum, refining skills, and ensuring each project meets the required standard.
We appreciate the effort shown by many students already and encourage those who may be behind to take advantage of the extra workshop time available. With consistent effort and commitment, all students can achieve a quality result.
CONSTRUCTION
Cubby house builds are now well underway, and it has been fantastic to see the range of creative designs and innovative ideas coming from students. From unique layouts to clever construction features, students are really embracing the opportunity to think outside the box and bring their concepts to life. It’s especially pleasing to see them applying their practical skills while turning these ideas into real, functional builds in the workshop.
The level of enthusiasm and imagination on display is a credit to the students, and we’re excited to see how these projects continue to develop over the coming weeks. Be sure to keep an eye on the chatter and social media platforms, where we’ll be sharing some sneak peeks and highlighting standout projects as they progress.
