From Associate Principal

I hope you all enjoy a well‑deserved long weekend. Take the time to rest, recharge, and do something that makes you feel good. You’ve earned the break, and I look forward to seeing you return refreshed and ready for the start of Semester 2.
WEEK 6 ACADEMIC REVIEW
This week families and students will again receive a Compass entry reporting students' current course and certificate progress. Every student's progress will be measured as one of the following:
Above expected progress
At expected progress
Below expected progress
At risk
Teachers and trainers will be speaking with students who are 'at risk' or 'below expected progress' to outline reasons for this assessment and strategies to get back on track. Teachers and trainers will also reach out to parents and carers of these students.
Please note, Class staff are busily marking Year 11 and 12 examinations and ESTs and some results will not be known at the time of review. Class staff will contact families if there is cause for concern after all marking is complete.
Mr Prangnell is on the Northwest Tour, so students in his classes will receive entries in Week 7 upon his return.
Our aim is to work with students to get back on track in identified courses. Progress feedback provides students with an opportunity to refocus their attitudes and efforts to be successful at the College. This is particularly important for our Year 12 students as the end of their schooling draws closer.
ATAR EXAMS
I would like to acknowledge the strong commitment and effort our ATAR students demonstrated in preparing for Semester 1 exams. It has been encouraging to see you engage so fully with the challenges of this pathway and strive to achieve your best. I wish you all the very best as you await the outcomes of your hard work.
