Year 11 OES camp

Year 11 Outdoor & Environmental Studies students undertook an immersive 3-day, 60km canoe journey through remote reaches of the Barmah National Park along the Murray River.

The journey was part of Area of Study 3, which focused on participation in a range of sustainable outdoor experiences including minimum impact strategies for individuals, tent-site selection, and fuel stove usage.

Students developed self-reliance, safety skills, and environmental awareness while camping, cooking on Trangias, and exploring the unique riverine environment.
