It's our final library news for 2025 - what a year we've had!
Library volunteer afternoon tea
Yesterday we had a small afternoon tea to say thank you to those who have volunteered in the library this year. For those of you who couldn't attend, we are so grateful for everything that you have done. None of this year's library transformation could have happened without you.
Preparing the library collection for next year.
We are in the final stages of preparing our collection for next year. New books are arriving all the time to be processed in time for the new year. Look at this fabulous series of Junior graphic novels that we were gifted by author Andrew McDonald! Next year we'll have a designated wall for students to write up their book requests themselves - how fun!
Library outreach program
Next year our library program will be growing to include the broader Maribyrnong and St Augustine's community. We'll be offering regular story time sessions in the library, as well as outreach visits to local playgroups, kinders and childcare centres. St Augustine's family storytime sessions will also become a regular part of our week. If you are linked in with a childcare centre, playgroup or kinder that you'd like us to visit, please reach out to Kat on:

The holidays are loooooong, so if you find yourself scrambling for kids activities, here are a few that are run by *excellent*, literacy focused libraries / orgs (and are mostly free!).
