Cari genitori e studenti,
As the school year comes to a close, I want to thank all our students for their enthusiasm and effort in learning Italian this year. It has been wonderful to see so many of you grow in confidence, explore Italian culture, and have fun with the language.
Wishing everyone a joyful holiday season, a Merry Christmas(Buon Natale), and a happy New Year!
Arrivederci e buone vacanze,

What a year it has been! I am so proud of each of you and the amazing progress you’ve made, not just in your learning but in the way you’ve grown as people. Thank you for your curiosity, your energy, and all the laughter we’ve shared together.
As you move on to the next chapter, remember to be kind, stay curious, and always believe in yourself. I know you’re all going to do amazing things!

Grade 3/4s have been working really hard all term to complete celebration boxes about a national holiday or festival of their choice. They could pick something that interested them or a holiday that had a cultural significance to their families. It was so good to see how much effort went into each box. We had different steps each week to follow, to keep the 3/4s busy, including general information and facts, creating a new symbol, finding maps, making poems and journal entries and interviewing family and friends about the chosen day. We loved seeing some interactive elements, some kids taught the class a dance, or how to make drums and lanterns and some bought in cultural food or temporary tattoos. Family photos were included, coffee dipped paper to look old and and even costumes. It was so impressive to see the thought and care that went into these projects :) well done to everyone during the presentations!

The room was buzzing with excitement as everyone eagerly waited to see what was hidden inside their Christmas wrapping. Our Santa (aka Elijah) did a fantastic job handing out all 53 presents to 1/2 students, while the students showed incredible patience and respect by waiting until everyone had a gift. Then, with a signal to start, wrapping paper flew through the air, the room filled with joyful squeals and laughter, and smiles were everywhere. A huge thank you to our wonderful mums and dads for supporting the children with purchasing their gifts and helping make the day so special! Merry Christmas from the 1/2 team.

Christmas Concert
1/2RSB thoroughly enjoyed the evening of the school Christmas concert. Our two songs - The First Noel and 12 Days of Christmas has had us rehearsing for over two months, so it was lovely to finally be able to sing it all for our families and school community. Thank you to all our parents who tolerated these songs for such a long time:)
