A message from Pip Sciffer

Thank you and Good bye
After many years at Carnegie Primary School, I am leaving to take up a part time position at a school closer to where I now live. My time at Carnegie started in 1998 when my eldest child commenced in prep, that is sure a long time ago. I joined the staff, working in the office in 2005. Over the years, one thing has stood out about Carnegie, the dedication of the staff, the enormous support from the parent cohort and extended community for the benefit of our children. Fundraising over 25 years ago helped pay for the air conditioning throughout the school. Really hard to imagine a time where there was no air conditioning! New playgrounds, sand pits, the old oval and play areas have been all been up graded over the years, thanks to the support of this amazing group. This vision and dedication of staff and parents has enabled the past, current and future students to enjoy these benefits. I’ve seen firsthand, the enormous dedication of our teachers, ES teaching support, principal class and admin team, past and present, that has ensured that all students are given very opportunity to learn and grow into the amazing individual’s they are. Every single one of you should be very proud of what has been achieved at the school and continues to be achieved into the future.
I have truly loved working at Carnegie and seeing a small humble school grow into the progressive school it is today. There are so many people I have connected with over the years, whom I will miss dearly. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all staff, parents, students and extended community, past and present, for entrusting me in the administrative role of business manager.
My last official day will be in late January 2026 before school recommences. However, I am taking long service leave from Wednesday 26th November for the remainder of this year.
Wishing you all the very best for the future.
Warm regards
Pip Sciffer
