Principal's Message 

Embracing Our Culture

Over the course of this year, we have taken the opportunity as a staff to reflect on our culture at The King’s College. After receiving feedback from staff and looking at the college's vision and mission, we were able to form four statements that influence the environment we strive to create for each of our staff, students, and families.

FAITH - Christ is at the centre of all we do. 

With Christ at the centre, we are reminded of the words in Colossians 3:17, "And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." This scripture shows our commitment to placing Christ first in every aspect of our lives and work at the College.

APPRECIATION - We believe in ourselves and others and are grateful for what God has given us.

We believe in ourselves and others, recognising and being grateful for the unique gifts that God has given each of us. 1 Thessalonians 5:18, "Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." This gratitude fosters an environment where everyone feels valued and appreciated.

CARE - We ensure everyone is noticed, supported and safe.

Care is integral to how we support one another. We are committed to providing an environment where everyone in our College community is cared for. This value aligns with the teachings in Matthew 25:40, "Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." In caring for each other, we are living out our faith in a tangible and meaningful way.

EXCELLENCE - We inspire each other to be the best we can be.

Matthew 25:14-30, inspires us to be the best we can be where we are encouraged to use our God-given abilities to their fullest potential. Striving for excellence is not just about achieving high standards but also about inspiring others to reach theirs and creating a community where everyone thrives.

As we continue to grow as a College, we aim to cultivate a positive and intentional culture where every member of our community can flourish. I encourage all members of our community to look for opportunities to deepen your Faith, show Appreciation, Care for others and, do all you do aiming for Excellence.
