Girls AFL Gala Day

On Friday 25th of October the 5/6 girls had a fantastic day at Ballam Park competing in a football tournament! Placing 2nd overall is a remarkable achievement that reflects the hard work and determination of each player on the day.

The atmosphere was filled with excitement as the girls showcased their skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship on the field.

It was fantastic to see how the girls tackled every challenge with enthusiasm and grit. Their ability to work together as a team was evident, and it made for some thrilling moments during the matches.

A huge thank you to Mr. Thomas and Mrs.Steigler for coaching and supporting the girls on the day.

Overall, it was a fantastic experience that brought everyone together, celebrating not just the achievement of 2nd place but also the friendships and memories made along the way.

Congratulations to all the girls for a job well done!

Footy Fun

By Ava, Lola, Grace and Elena - 5/6N

On Friday the 25th of October, at 9:30am, 18 girls set off for the day to play footy.

Our day started out really well as we won against Ballam park and celebrated our first win of the day!

After our first win we went over to our second game which we unfortunately lost to, but we still had a positive attitude so we kept on going!

We then headed over to the next field and played our next game.

We were very determined to win most of our games so that we could win a gold or silver plaque.

After our second game we played against Frankston Heights and it was a tough game but we ended up only losing by one point.

We had about five more games until recess, which we were very excited for as we were very tired and needed a break.

After lunch we had four more games and our next game was against Karingal.

Our team got some very good tackles. The people on the bench were very supportive, they were cheering on the sidelines.

We won against Karingal but sadly lost to St Brendans.

We kept on going and we were trying our hardest to win a plaque.

After our game against St Brendan’s we headed over to the next field and we were getting ready to verse St John’s which is a very tough team.

While we were versing them, our team got some very good tackles which took a lot of strength but was worth it.

Boys Netball Day

On the same day as girls football was the boys netball gala day.

The energy of all the boys on the day was up as both Team A and Team B faced off against some tough competition.

Team A showed incredible resilience, navigating a challenging draw and managing to finish in 3rd place. Their determination and teamwork were commendable, and they should be proud of how they came together to tackle each game.

Team B had an outstanding day, going undefeated throughout the tournament! It was a thrilling journey, and even though they narrowly lost the grand final to Woodleigh by just 5 goals, we demonstrated sportsmanship throughout the whole day.

A big thank you to Emma Edwards and Ms.Trickey who trained the boys and got them ready for the day.

Congratulations to both teams on their achievements!
