Dear Parent and Carers,
Welcome to the final newsletter for Term 3!
We have had a number of events occur in the lead up to the end of term with a very successful Sports Day this week (thank you SCA!), R U OK day, Yr 5/6 Cricket gala day, Tennis Hot Shots and a visit from the Hume City Council mayor today, Yr 1 Disco taking place this evening and lots of excitement around some of our seeds popping up in the garden.

Dance Showcase
Don't forget to come along to our Dance Showcase at 2pm next Tuesday 15th December. Our students have really enjoyed their weekly Dance sessions building up to this event and are keen to show off their moves and celebrate with their families watching and clapping along.
Sun smart hats
It has been lovely to see more of the sun out as we have moved into Spring and this is a timely reminder that we will need to dig out those sun smart hats for Term 4. Students will require a sun smart hat for playtime and any outdoor activity they participate in during Term 4 so please ensure they are packed and ready for Day 1 next term.
Fidget tools at school
Fidget tools are intended to support students self regulate, improve concentration and provide a quiet sensory outlet without disrupting others. We have many students who use these tools effectively to support their learning, however we do have some expectations about their use in the learning spaces to support the learning of all students;
We are seeking our families support with helping our students understand the purpose of fidget tools and the expectations we have around their use at school.
Term 4 Learning Overviews
Our teams are communicating the learning coming up in Term 4 with families via Compass. Please keep an eye out for these so that you know what is coming including important dates for Day Camps, excursions, events and curriculum focus areas. A reminder that these are also available on our website after they are published.
Keelonith staffing update

We are very happy to share that Miss Seda and her family have welcomed beautiful little Hazel into the world and that everyone is doing well and adjusting to newborn life. We would also like to wish Miss Olivia all the very best as she finishes up at the end of this term before heading off onto family leave. We look forward to welcoming Mrs Panesar back to KPS when she returns as the 3A mentor teacher in Term 4. We also wish Miss Daniella all the very best as she moves on from Keelonith at the end of this term.
Learning over the holidays
Please encourage your child to continue reading, writing and practising their maths facts over the holidays! Just a short time each day will have a positive impact on their fluency in all of these areas. We are so excited to see the progress our students are making and keeping the momentum going over the holidays will support them reengaging in learning at school on Day 1 next term.
We hope you all have a safe and restful break. We are looking forward to welcoming everyone (including Matt) back on the first day of Term 4, Monday October 5th.
Kind regards,
Sam Birrell & Jane Young
