Zone Swimming Carnival

Never before have I seen school pride and sporting enthusiasm to the degree I witnessed at the 2022 Zone Swimming Carnival. Our incredibly dedicated student athletes attended the evening carnival after a full day of school, demonstrating their passion and excitement for the sport.

Our wonderful team consisted of 36 fantastic athletes, competing against the other nine schools in the Ku-Ring-Gai Zone. We took out a close 6th place, just behind Pennant Hills High School.

Despite having a significantly smaller team than usual, we were able to compete in the vast majority of the races as students stepped up to fill in events for their peers. These performances were incredibly exciting to watch.

Listed below are Killara students who placed in their age group at the Zone Carnival:

Students who place in the top two of their event will progress through to the Sydney Region Carnival, meaning 12 KHS students have made it through.

A special thank you must go to Mrs Jennifer Downes and Mrs Sally Waddington of the PDHPE department for their ongoing support of our students. The entire PDHPE department is incredibly proud of the students that participated in this carnival and look forward to seeing the success of competitors in the Sydney Region competition.
