Youth Mass

Many thanks to the LYM’s and students who contributed to the Youth Mass last Sunday. It would be lovely to see more families support the youth Mass, it is only twice a term. The next Youth Mass is the 22nd September - mark it on your diaries now!

College Mass

Please come along and join your sons and daughters for their term Mass. Year 8 is on Wednesday September 4th and Year 7 on September 11th.

Around the classes

7.5 RE  created their own prayers, collaboratively formed them together as a class. (designs such as a heart, rain droplet and a Cross). Lilly Edmonds wrote a beautiful prayer about the drought.

The class designed prayer cards in the forms of foot prints. This is reference to the 'Footprints in the sand' story.

7.3 RE have also prepared a prayer liturgy in pairs for the class. Each lesson two students lead the prayer. The link shows Riley Smith & Brooke Newberry’s prayer https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1gMUagQIxzYMI3kC6HpVWfVtqbSHQGpkhvBL5FDzicPM/edit?ts=5d646763#slide=id.g5e3eda7b01_0_107

8.3 RE are working collaboratively creating on a scenario that has a ripple effect for young people and illustrating this on the whiteboard tables. They are currently studying the unit  “Striving for Goodness”

Year 11 SOR II are currently preparing presentations on the topic Religion in Australia pre 1945. It includes areas such as sectarianism, rural and outback ministries, public morality and social welfare. Exams are coming fast and students are starting to prepare.

As part of our unit ‘Sacraments at the service of communion’ Father Samson spoke to the 10.4 RE class about Vocations today, highlighting his own personal journey to priesthood. We are hoping that Fr Samson will be able to speak to all the Yr 10 RE classes.
