Around the College

Uniform Fitting Centre

The uniform fitting centres are open at both campuses for your convenience. The Dunsborough fitment centre is open each morning and the Busselton uniform fitment centre opens at 8:15am and closes at 4pm.

Distancing rules still apply for any family wanting to use the uniform fitment centres.  Only one family may utilise the fitment centre at a time.

Semester Reports

One of the struggles that education is facing worldwide is how to assess and report student progress after such a disruption to schooling. For our students at Cornerstone, we have been very fortunate that the period of disruption was so short. Our teachers were able to maintain some form of learning through the weeks of isolation and now they have completed several weeks of in-class lessons with most of our students. This means that our assessment and reporting schedule is able to proceed, with very little variation.

Over the next few weeks, our teachers will be working on preparing our Semester One reports. A small number of students whose attendance has been affected by COVID-19 isolation may not have completed enough of the semester’s assessments in some subjects or courses. In this case they will receive a comment but may not receive a grade. Also, Primary students who have started at the College this term will receive an interim report.

Overall, we are working to provide parents with as much information about their children’s progress as we can.

New Fence

Have you been along Waratah Court recently?  If so you would have seen the extended fencing that was recently installed behind the Year 3 to 6 classrooms.  It provides security and protection for our students, plus has the additional benefit of holding balls on site when four square games get a little more enthusiastic!

A simple, yet wonderful addition to the grounds.

Secondary Assistance Scheme

Have recent events resulted in your family being eligible for a Family Concession Card?  If so, and you have a Secondary Student at the College, you might like to lodge an application for the Secondary Assistance Scheme.  You can collect a form from the administration and once filled, return it (showing staff to see your concession card).  It's as simple as that.

Apply before the end of term (Friday 3rd July 2020).  It can deliver $350 towards your school fees.
