Geography

Last week the two classes combined to take a look at our place in the universe. In small groups the children wrote our address, starting with The Universe and ending with The Dragonflies Classroom. Then we labelled the seven continents on a 2D map.

Just to make it a little more real, the children then placed the continents on their own 3D world! OK, it was a balloon, but it was really a very interesting and instructive activity for all of us. Thanks to Kirra's Mum Renee, for donating the balloons.

Whacky Wednesday and Movie Day

In the last week of term, the SRC will be organising a couple of events.

On Wednesday the 23rd in the afternoon, the children will be able to participate in some fun activities and challenges as part of Whacky Wednesday, for a small charge (TBA). This is an SRC fundraiser.

On the last day of the term, we will be watching a couple of movies, one rated G and one rated PG.

A note will come out about these events.
