Old Scholar Ring Order

The opportunity to purchase a Loreto Ring has been made available to all Old Scholars of Loreto Marryatville.

 

This beautiful Loreto engraved ring will provide a tangible symbol of your connection with Loreto and link you with the many members of the Loreto community throughout Australia and worldwide. The Loreto Crest was through to have been developed by Mother Teresa Ball as an expression of Loreto spirituality. It first appeared in the letterhead of letters written by Mother Teresa Ball in 1851.

 

There are four symbols on the Loreto Crest:

The Cross – The emblem of Salvation

The Sacred Heart – The Heart of Jesus

The Loving Heart – The pierced Heart of Mary

The Anchor – The symbol of Hope

 

Orders are placed in May each year to accommodate our graduating Year 12s. Orders received by the end of May are filled by November. Any orders placed after this date are included in the following year’s order. All orders will proceed at the approval and discretion of the Principal with recipients of the ring for graduating scholars only.

 

Please visit your local jeweller to determine your ring size. Sizes are usually a letter from P-N. Remember to measure the finger on which you wish to wear your ring. There are no returns due to incorrect sizing.

 

The cost of the ring includes GST and handling, and all orders must be accompanied by payment to proceed.

Café Open on Saturday's

We are excited to announce that the Felicity Café will be open on Saturday mornings from the start of Term 2 to coincide with weekend sport. We encourage you to order a coffee or hot chocolate to beat the chill of winter sport! 

Gill Hicks - Resilience Event

An evening not to be missed. Catholic School Parents SA are privileged to present an inspirational evening with Dr Gill Hicks AM MBE.

 

Gill Hicks is globally known as a survivor of the London terrorist bombings on July 7th 2005.

 

She survived, but suffered severe and permanent injuries, losing both legs from just below the knee. Originally from Adelaide, Australia, Gill moved to London in 1991, however in 2012 returned to Australia.

 

Gill is a published author, musician, award winning artist and performer, Gill’s appreciation and gratitude for life is present throughout all her creative works.

 

Her presentation Resilience – will be a raw discussion on her life experience, gratitude for life and how it relates to families. You will leave the event feeling empowered, inspired and grateful to continue to your parenting and education journey.

 

The event will be limited to 300 in person Catholic school families attendees.

There will be an unlimited online option with live streaming.

Parent Information Sessions - Butterfly Foundation

Butterfly Foundation: Wednesday 21 June, 5.30 - 7pm, PAC

Join Rachel Soderstrom from the Butterfly Foundation for a presentation on body image and self confidence. The seminar will provide knowledge, practical information and tips on promoting positive body image, the power of role modelling, reducing appearance-based talk and how to respond when a child expresses negative body image.

Year 7 and 8 Social

Loreto College are excited to be hosting the Year 7 and 8 Social this term!

 

When: Friday 16 June

Time: 6pm - 9pm

Where: The Square, Loreto College

 

Tickets are $15 and includes 1x soft drink and pizza

Dress code: smart casual

 

This is a lock-in event and students are required to bring their Student ID. All funds raised will go to the Breast Cancer Foundation.

Rostrevor Red and Black Disco (Year 8 and 9)

The Red and Black Disco tickets have sold out for this terms' Disco as Rostrevor have reached capacity to safely host the event. Thank you for your support. If you have tried to purchase tickets via the try booking link you do have the option to place your name on a wait list. 

 

If you no longer want your ticket, please email jpipe@rostrevor.sa.edu.au and she will be able to issue you with a refund through our Try booking platform in a weeks' time and your ticket will be made available to those on the wait list after that. The Waitlist will be emailed when tickets become available.
