All Saints' Day Family Mass and Sausage Sizzle!

On 1 November, the Catholic Church celebrates All Saints' Day, followed by All Souls' Day on 2 November. These special feast days remind us of our Christian hope that God calls each of us to eternal life with Him in Heaven.

On All Saints' Day, we celebrate the saints, those holy men, women and children who faithfully followed God's will and are now united with Him in Heaven. The saints are wonderful role models of faith, courage and love, inspiring us to grow closer to Jesus in our everyday lives.

On All Souls' Day, we remember and pray for all those who have died. As a Catholic community, we entrust them to God's infinite mercy and ask Him to welcome them into the joy of Heaven. Through our prayers, we remain connected to our loved ones and to the whole Communion of Saints.

The month of November is traditionally known in the Catholic Church as the Month of Remembrance, a special time when we remember family members, friends and all the faithful departed. Throughout the month, we are invited to pray for those who have gone before us, trusting in God's love and the promise of eternal life.

As we begin this special month, the St Patrick's School and Parish community will gather to celebrate a Family Mass at 10.00am on Sunday, 1 November, followed by a sausage sizzle and All Saints' Party. This is a wonderful opportunity for families to come together in faith, fellowship and celebration as we honour the saints and strengthen the bonds of our parish and school community. Please see the attached flyer for further details.

These special days invite us to reflect on our own call to holiness and remind us that we are all part of God's family, united in faith, prayer and hope. May the example of the saints inspire us to follow Jesus each day, and may our prayers bring comfort and hope as we remember those who have died.
