CELEBRATING OUR FAITH
Mrs Mary-Jane Guest

This Friday, 1W will lead the Infants Prayer Celebration at 9:30am at Sacred Heart Church. All families are welcome to attend.
The Sacrament of Confirmation will be on Saturday 13 June at the 5:30pm Mass.

A note will go out this week to those students in Year 6 who will prepare to receive the Sacrament this year.
There will be parent information sessions on Wednesday 6 May at 1:15pm and 6pm to discuss the finer details of the sacrament. A family member only needs to attend one meeting. If you have any questions prior to this, please let me know.
Throughout the season of Lent, our school community has shown remarkable generosity in supporting Project Compassion. Through fundraising initiatives like our Fish Day, Project Compassion boxes, and online donations, our students and families have come together to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
We are proud to share that our school has raised an outstanding $5,858.80 for Caritas Australia. This incredible total reflects the compassion, empathy, and commitment of our students to support those most in need.
Our recent Big Water Walk provided a powerful opportunity for students to walk in solidarity with those around the world who must travel long distances each day to access safe drinking water. It was inspiring to see students actively engage in this experience and deepen their understanding of the challenges faced by others.
We sincerely thank all families for their generosity and support throughout Lent. Your contributions will help bring hope and practical assistance to communities in need.
At the end of last term, our school community gathered for a reverent and prayerful Holy Week Liturgy, entering into the story of Jesus’ passion and death.
A particularly powerful moment was the Washing of the Feet, where students and staff reflected on Jesus’ example of humility, service, and love for others. This symbolic action reminded us of our call to serve one another with compassion and kindness in our daily lives.
Now, as we return after the Easter break, we continue to live in the joy and hope of the Risen Lord. The message of Easter reminds us that even in difficult times, new life, hope, and light are always possible.
May this Easter season continue to inspire our school community to be people of love, service, and hope in all that we do.
