PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Mrs Jillian Rainger

jrainger@arm.catholic.edu.au

Welcome back to all our families for the start of Term 2..I hope the recent break provided your families with a chance for rest, reflection, and a joyful celebration of the Easter season.

The Easter season reminds us of the hope that is so appropriate in our current times. Holy Trinity School is a place of hope; we strive to ensure our students learn, grow, and become young adults who are motivated to be positive and make a difference in our world. As we return to the classroom, we do so with this renewed sense of purpose.

I would like to thank our students, families and staff who represented HTS at the ANZAC Day March and Service on Saturday. Congratulations to our Primary School Captain, Ava, who read the prayer for the fallen beautifully. We had fantastic support!

Important for Current Families: If you have a child due to start Kindergarten in 2027, please submit your application as soon as possible. We are now using a new online enrolment form. Please use the QR Code provided in this newsletter to access the form directly.

Important Expectations & Reminders

Attendance: Every Day Counts

Consistent attendance is the cornerstone of academic success. We ask that all students aim for 100% attendance unless prevented by illness. If your child is absent, please ensure the school is notified via the office or our portal by 10:00 am.

School Fees

We are grateful for the financial commitment our families make to provide a Catholic education. Term 2 fee statements will be issued shortly. Timely payment is essential for our continued provision of high-quality resources. If you are experiencing financial hardship, please contact the school office to arrange a confidential meeting. The next instalment is due on Thursday 21 May.

Road Safety and Parking

To ensure the safety of our students, please adhere strictly to traffic regulations. Local authorities monitor these zones; infringements carry a fine and two demerit points.

  • No Stopping Zones: You must not stop here for any reason.
  • Bus Zones: No dropping off or picking up during posted times.
  • No Parking (Kiss and Drop): Applies 8:00–9:30 am and 2:30–4:00 pm. You must stay within 3 metres of your vehicle and complete the drop-off/pick-up within 2 minutes. Do not leave your car to walk into the school.

Kiss and Drop Etiquette:

  • Students must exit on the left-hand side (kerbside).
  • Use any available bay; do not wait for the front position.
  • Join the queue on Moore St—please do not "push in."

Uniform and Presentation

While the Summer uniform is optional during Terms 2 and 3, the full Winter uniform is compulsory from June 1 until September 1.

Footwear: All students require enclosed black leather or strong vinyl school shoes with substantial soles. Shoes must have laces, buckles, or a similar mechanism. No high-tops, ballet flats, or canvas shoes. Supportive sports shoes with laces are required for PE days.

Presentation Standards:

  • Hair: Neat and natural colour. No motifs, dreadlocks, rats tails, or cuts under a #2 blade. Hair touching shoulders must be tied back with blue or white accessories.
  • We have noticed many students have returned from holidays with "lines" or motifs cut into their hair. We ask that these be allowed to grow out immediately so that your child’s hair is in line with school expectations.
  • Jewellery: Primary: One pair of plain studs. Secondary: Max 3 studs per ear and one discreet nose stud (no rings).
  • Nails/Makeup: Nails must be short. Primary: No polish. Secondary: Natural polish and minimal makeup only.
  • Visible Items: Undergarments must not be visible. Plain grey or white ankle socks (no logos) are acceptable except on formal occasions.

If you have financial difficulties regarding uniform, please contact Mrs. Rainger for a confidential discussion.

Thank you for your ongoing partnership in making Holy Trinity School a vibrant place of learning and faith.
