Curriculum Reform Staff Development Day

Starting in 2027, teachers will be mandated to teach from new syllabus documents in the following areas -

Science and Technology

Human Society and Its Environment (History and Geography)

Creative and Practical Arts

Personal Development, Health and Physical Education

These changes are part of the Curriculum Reform road map set out by the NSW Department of Education and will be fully implemented at Holy Family.

The syllabus documents have been written so as to provide integration, explicit teaching of skills and content and are carefully sequenced for optimum student learning.

Our Staff Development Day on Monday 20th April allowed us to further explore these documents while working with colleagues from other neighbouring Catholic schools.

It was a very productive day with positive feedback from our teachers.
