Anzac Day

On Friday 24 April, our wonderful Year 4 students Angela, Vinnie and Lucas (4C); Aadi, Calvin and Jia Yang (4G); and Anjali, Dante and Sophie (4P) led a meaningful ANZAC Day assembly for our school community. They spoke with confidence and clarity about the importance of commemorating this significant day across our nation. They also shared thoughtful insights into ways we can remember and honour all servicemen and women, including First Nations soldiers who served during the first major military action involving Australian and New Zealand forces in World War I.
All students participated respectfully in a minute’s silence. Vinnie and Sophie delivered The Ode with great poise, and the ceremony concluded with a moving wreath-laying, as each class presented their wreath while Flowers of the Forest played softly in the background.
Well done to all our Year 4 presenters. I am incredibly proud of the mature and confident way you led this special assembly, future school leaders in the making.
