Celebrations in 3-4TG!

Term 3 is well underway and we are loving all the celebrations at SJV!

FAMILY TREES  / THE FAMILY OF JESUS

This term, our Grade 3/4 students have been learning about family trees and exploring the importance of family connections. After researching their own family history at home, each student created a family tree to proudly share with the class. As part of our Religious Education unit, we also explored Jesus' family tree, helping students understand His place in history and God's plan throughout generations. This learning has encouraged students to appreciate their own family stories while making meaningful connections to our RE studies.

INDONESIAN DAY!

Our Grade 3/4 class had a fantastic time celebrating Indonesian Day!

Students embraced the opportunity to celebrate the Indonesian language and culture through a variety of fun activities and games organised by Pak Kris. Many students came dressed in traditional Indonesian clothing or wore red, black, and white to show their support. We also decorated our classroom, and were thrilled to receive an Honourable Mention for Best Dressed! The day concluded with a special whole-school Indonesian Day assembly, making it a memorable celebration of learning, culture, and community.

ST. JOHN VIANNEY'S FEAST DAY!

Our class loudly and proudly celebrated the Feast Day of our patron saint, St John Vianney. We began the day with a special whole-school Mass and learned about St John Vianney's humble beginnings in France and his inspiring journey to becoming a saint. Students also enjoyed participating in a Dance Curriculum workshop, where they learned a fun dance routine throughout the day. We also completed activities in class about St. John Vianney.

The celebrations concluded with a whole-school performance, where each year level proudly showcased the routines they had learned, making it a joyful and memorable celebration of our school community.
