Digi Tech & Cyber Safety:
Yr 5/6 Level Up!

Our Year 5/6 students have been putting their STEM and problem-solving skills to the test in an exciting robotics challenge featuring our Sphero SPRK+ robots!

Last term, students worked collaboratively in small teams to design and construct a maze using our Kinazium kits. This term, groups are developing a digital solution to program their Sphero SPRK+ to navigate the obstacles from start to finish. It has been wonderful to see our senior students embrace trial and error, sharpen their computational thinking skills and demonstrate teamwork as they bring their code to life.

Following on from our Cyber Safety Night, our Year 5/6 students have also spent time reflecting on their online behavior by completing a Digital Habits survey. The students answered the questions thoughtfully and honestly, giving us some fascinating insights into how they interact with technology both in and out of the classroom that will help guide our future cyber safety and digital citizenship discussions.
