Charlie and the Chocolate factory

On Thursday we went to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. It was by St B’s. We saw a few familiar faces and had lots of fun. We walked to the Town Hall as a whole school. Our favourite parts of the show were:

When the squirrels were dancing - Evie

When the brat rich kid fell into the chocolate - Dominic

Writer’s Notebook

This term we have started our Writer’s Notebook. We have learnt about seeds and how to get good ideas for our writing. We learnt about surface thinking, below surface thinking and core thinking. We are really excited to do Writer’s Notebook because we got to design our own front covers and because it is lots of fun. Writer’s Notebook is fun because we get to create stories of our choice and be creative with how we publish. 

Health and Human Development

On Wednesday we had our health and development talk where we spoke about puberty and what it is like to grow up. We spoke about the changes that might happen to our body, minds and emotions. The Health and Human Development talk was important because we are all going through changes. Thanks to Mrs McIntyre and Mrs Burdett for coming to our school and talking to us about puberty. 

Gr 5 camp

Next week the Grade 5’s will venture to Sovereign Hill for their camp. We are excited to stay here at school without them. We hope they all have lots of fun.
